On 12 to 16 September 2014 at IBC in Amsterdam, eyevis presents novelties for demanding visualizations in TV studios, direction rooms, post production and digital signage applications.

The new 85’’ Ultra HD displays with 60 Hz, the SLIM-Cubes with a depth of only 455 mm, the improved DLP-Cubes of the new EC-1004 series, the high-quality LED modules with 1.5 mm, 2 mm and 2.5 mm pixel pitch, the latest generation of eyevis preview monitors and the successful omniSHAPES are specific to the requirements of the broadcast sector.

Genlock-compatible 4K: 85‘‘ Ultra HD-Display with 60Hz

Highest resolution and large-surface representation for the application behind and in front of the camera the new 85’’ Ultra HD-LC display with 60 Hz and Ultra HD resolution of 3.840 x 2.160 pixels. Specific to the requirements in TV studios, the Genlock-compatible display with an image frequency of 60 Hz can be adjusted to conventional studio frequencies. Due to the high brightness level of 500 cd/m² and 100% NTSC the display also offers best image characteristics for digital signage applications in bright ambient light conditions. Additionally, the display, through an OPS-compatible slot for an eyeProcessing-Unit (EPU), can be equipped with an EPU scaler. The scaler offers a 3G HD-SDI interface. Extended operational potential of the 85’’ display for broadcast and digital signage applications is added through an optional touch system on infrared basis.

High-resolution and high-quality LED modules: sophisticated solutions for demanding tasks

eyevis presents its high resolution and high-quality LED modules with pixel pitches of only 1.5, 2 mm and 2.5 pixel pitch. The high-quality LED modules by eyevis convince through high-quality image processing and a precise mechanical concept which allows for smooth setup and accurate, gapless adjustment. This way the high-quality LED modules are perfectly suitable for permanent installations – as a commercial display or large scale information wall in show rooms, train stations, airports or sports arenas. Through the uncomplicated adjustment of the color temperature, the LEDs are ideal for video walls in TV studios, too. With the high flexibility as a modular system the LED modules can also be arranged in mobile video walls in the event and presentation sector. Due to the modular design the high-quality LED modules are moreover very service-friendly. The modules have front and rear access. In this way all electronic components can be changed and maintained without disassembling the module or even the entire video wall. This facilitates maintenance works and reduces downtimes.

Additionally, eyevis has equipped its high-quality LED modules with the same image processing system that is installed in the omniSHAPES. In this way, draft, planning, assembly and content transmission of creative LED walls is quickly, easily and flexibly possible through the eyevis software eyeDesign. Moreover, the zero-delay-colour-correction allows for color adjustment of single LED modules or the entire wall during running operation, at the touch of a button so to speak. Through the multilayer-pixel-correction, color corrections are built up on each other and can in this way be reversed step by step up to the point of factory settings. The integrated brightness-edge-correction additionally makes separate brightness adjustment for outer pixel lines of every module possible.

eyevis SLIM Cubes: super-slender and easy to service

Slimmer, faster to install and easier to service: These are the features of the new Slim-rear projection-cubes by eyevis for the professional usage in control rooms and TV studios. With a depth of only than 455 mm, the new Slim-Cubes can be used in areas that were, due to space requirements, not suitable for rear projection cubes before. The easy-handling concept with projection units in innovative single-module design with integrated and motorized geometry adjustment enables a quick and easy setup. Like all eyevis cubes the new slim model is equipped with a robust self-supporting casing and the proved „seamless“ screen bracket with discrete screen clamp technology to install big video walls with smallest bezels between adjacent displays. Additionally, the front and rear access enables an easy installation and start-up as well as a quick exchange.

DLP-Cube of EC-1004 series: optimized product for more flexible handling

In order to further expand the flexibility during installation and the service-friendliness of the eyevis cubes, eyevis for the new EC-1004 series relies on newly developed projection units in a single module design. The integration of all components in one housing not only allows for a simplified product design, but the projector unit can now be removed from and inserted into the cube during installation and service in its entirety. Thereby the quality attributes of the high-end eyevis DLP cubes were retained. This includes the robustness, the long-term stability, the seamless monitor mounting and the flexible modularity. Through the simplified product design the price of the new EC-1004 cubes could be lowered. The cubes are available in XGA, SXGA+, full HD and WUXGA resolution with screen sizes of 50’’ to 70’’.

High-Brightness Preview Monitors for Indoor and Outdoor Productions

With the new EYE-LCD-1700-HB-BC-V2 and EYE-LCD-2100-HB-BC-V2 eyevis present the next generation of their preview monitors for broadcast applications with 17’’ and 21’’ screen diagonal. Due to the high brightness of more than 1000 cd/m², high contrast and the full HD resolution with 1.920 x 1.080 pixels, the displays offer best image characteristics for preview representation of TV footage. Together with the optically coated special glass with UV filter and the optional sun shield, optimal visibility of screen contents even in bright ambient light conditions is guaranteed. The light and robust metal housing (IP52 protection class), a VESA plate with stand spigot and the connection possibilities for battery packs additionally ensure best characteristics for the application at outdoor productions.

The latest generation of eyevis preview monitors furthermore convinces through compact housing, new features and an attractive design. In contrast to previous models, the control elements are now directly integrated into the display surface in order to prevent unwanted manipulations of display properties. The thinner frame allows for more compact dimensions for the same screen size and in this way facilitates transportation. Moreover, the new teleprompter feature extends the application possibilities of the preview monitors. Both displays are equipped with all necessary connections, a 3G HD/SDI loop-through feature (3G HD-SDI BNC-In/Out) and the respective timings for the broadcast sector.

Unlimited creativity: unique video walls with omniSHAPES

Additionally eyevis presents the omniSHAPES: whether combined to an interactive video wall in the studio of a leading American news channel, in the shape of a tennis racket for the French Open in Paris, as display-floor installation, e.g. as a catwalk for a fashion show, or in concave or convex curved video wall arrangements the omniSHAPES provide versatile possibilities for creative installations. The modular concept and the diverse screen shapes make eyevis omniSHAPES a first choice for exciting video walls that can be adapted into any interior design or event concept.
