Carrier’s broad range of sustainable refrigeration products and services will be displayed in an environment designed to replicate an authentic retail experience at EuroShop 2014, held tri-annually in Dusseldorf, Germany. Carrier, the world’s leader in high-technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, is part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Carrier’s 1,850-square-meter stand (Hall 16, Booth No. A04/B04) will showcase the latest economical, reliable and sustainable refrigeration solutions to preserve freshness, ensure food safety and enhance the appearance of food retail.
“The ultimate purpose of our refrigeration solutions, beyond keeping food fresh in a sustainable way, is to enable customized, effective merchandising opportunities for our customers,” said David Appel, president, Carrier Transicold & Refrigeration Systems. “That’s why our focus for EuroShop is to show our products in a familiar setting, where our customers can easily see and relate to the benefits of our solutions.”

The display will feature a selection of products and solutions from the wider United Technologies Corp. portfolio, including fire and safety equipment, people-moving products from Otis Elevator Company and transport refrigeration solutions from Carrier Transicold.

“Sustainability is a mainstream issue in retail, but significant savings remain untapped as refrigeration tends to be looked at in isolation,” said Thierry Jomard, president, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration, Europe. “Visitors to our booth will be able to see the benefits of our more holistic approach, which takes advantage of the significant energy savings potential in the integration of building technology.”

Carrier will make a series of significant announcements at EuroShop, including:

Small-store concept – Carrier is addressing the increasing investments of key account customers in small-stores (less than 400 square meters) by launching a modular range of slim cabinets for optimized merchandising. The range covers chiller and freezer applications, which feature harmonized aesthetics and flexible configurations for space or building restrictions.

The new E6 Monaxis – Carrier will unveil a complete series of remote multidecks covering all meat and dairy options, both in open (Monaxis) and glass door (MonaxEco®) versions. The modern design enables ideal product display for merchandising, delivering a high utilization of floor space, as well as optimized temperature and energy performance.

CO2OLtec Integral range – Carrier’s latest addition to its CO2OLtec Integral range uses the natural refrigerant CO2 to provide a fully integrated approach for refrigeration, space heating and cooling, and ventilation. It achieves up to 30 percent savings on energy costs and a 50 percent reduction in the system’s carbon footprint, in comparison with a conventional R404A refrigeration and gas heating system. In addition to the CO2OLtec Integral range, new concepts supporting the value-driven move toward natural refrigerants for small-store and hard-discount formats will be showcased.
