METTLER TOLEDO bC scales: USB memory function simplifies updates of price and range information

Clever and value-for-money network alternative: Smaller shop chains and businesses can now simply use a USB flash drive to synchronise the price and range information on all their bC METTLER TOLEDO scales.

Plug in the USB flash drive, enter the code for the upload function – the scales take care of the rest. It has never been easier to synchronise the price and range information on non-networked bC scales: the USB memory function provides smaller shop chains and businesses such as butchers’, delicatessens, cheese shops or fishmongers’ etc. with network functionality in USB flash drive format. An extremely simple plug & play solution that even works for completely inexperienced IT users.

Significantly less work
With the USB memory function, METTLER TOLEDO is aiming at small and medium-sized businesses, where a single employee – in family-run businesses, usually the boss – is in charge of the technology. In such cases, the USB memory function significantly eases that employee’s workload. According to Gerd Griesohn, METTLER TOLEDO product manager retail scales Europe, “That member of staff can simply record the data from their master scales on the USB flash drive. Then the driver who delivers to the other locations can also take along the flash drive. The driver connects the USB flash drive to the scales in the branch, starts the update – and by the time he has unloaded and taken care of the paperwork, the update is also installed.

Available as standard or extra accessory

With immediate effect, all bC scales can be delivered from stock with the USB memory function. METTLER TOLEDO customers who wish to equip their existing bC scales with the new function, should turn to their distributor or specialist dealer.
