30 September 2009 in Düsseldorf:

  • viscom launches new conference “viscom tec.09 conference“
  • What will visual communication look like in future?

Düsseldorf. In any size, on just about any material, printed, digital, mobile or web-based and interactive, as a digital signage solution, a media façade or a large format print: visual communication is currently facing what may be the biggest wave of innovation in its history, confronting marketing¬ decision-makers, media planners, advertising agencies as well as “movers and shakers” in the field of printing, advertising technology as well as shop fitting and trade fair construction with new challenges.

How will messages reach the customer in future? How will new technologies change consumers’ perception and behaviour? What are the advertising opportunities that will result from this change and possibly shape visual communication in future? What is the role interactivity will play in visual communication in this context? And what could media planning look like against this background in 2012?

With the “viscom tec.09 conference“, to be held for the first time on 30 September, on the day before start of the international trade fair for visual communication in Düsseldorf, viscom takes a peek into the future. It shows where advertising communication is headed and what will be “state of the art“ in the years to come. In doing so, viscom  will provide a new forum that will bring customers from industry and commerce, agencies, media planners and productioners from advertising technology and printing companies together in a one-day conference with a workshop character.

The entire conference programme will give priority to the topic of technological change in visual communication in the interplay of digital signage, “conventional“ advertising technology and interactive online communication. New technologies and their perception are the focus of the keynote speech at the beginning of the conference which provide the basis for the work of the four panels, all of which will take the form of a workshop. Central topics will be the future of visual communication, the new diversity in media production, new trends in the interactive use of media as well as media planning of the future.

The focus on joint practical activity and dialogue rather than on a static conference is also emphasised by the location of the first conference. With the “Royal“ in Düsseldorf the organisers chose a venue that provides room for creative exchange in a relaxed atmosphere.

The participation fee for the congress will be 490.- euro plus VAT. for bookings made by 31 July and 590.- euro plus VAT after that date. More information on the congress and registration is available from Maren Mehlis, Project Manager, phone +49 211 90191 167, fax +49 211 90191 172 or e-mail Maren.Mehlis@reedexpo.de
