Aldata Appoints Roy J. Simrell as President and CEO
Aldata Solution, a global leader in retail and distribution optimization software, today announced the appointment of Roy J. Simrell as the company’s president and CEO.
Aldata Appoints Roy J. Simrell as President and CEOMr. Simrell has 25 years of broad experience in retail technology, software development and IT services. Until recently, he was the President of the US Business unit of a global retail technology provider with approximately $130 million in annual revenues.
Prior to that, Mr. Simrell worked at Catalina Marketing in various executive roles for nine years, most recently as Corporate Senior Vice President of Information Technology and Research & Development. He has extensive experience and a proven track record in establishing company strategy and objectives and in managing sales and the delivery of complex, mission critical software projects to some of the world's leading retailers. He also brings global experience having lived in Europe and working in Asia. Previously, he worked at Fujitsu - ICL Retail Systems as Director - Point of Sale System Application Development, and at RS Technologies Inc. as founder and CEO, serving the grocery, hospitality and convenience store industries.

Mr. Bertrand Sciard, President and CEO of Aldata since August 2007, will continue to act as a member of the Board of Directors at Aldata Solution Oyj and as an adviser to the Symphony Technology Group.
