3VR, the video intelligence company, announced the debut of the 3VR People Counter ahead of the National Retail Federation 104th Annual Convention & Expo. The 3VR People Counter is a new product within the 3VR Customer Insights family of retail solutions for marketing, loss prevention, and store operations.

Based on 3D imaging technology, the 3VR People Counter reliably detects how many people enter or leave a store with high accuracy and can record any number of people simultaneously, even under changing lighting conditions and shadows.

From January 11-13, NRF BIG Show attendees will be able to demo the 3VR People Counter at booth #926 alongside other 3VR Customer Insights solutions, including:

VisionPoint™ Dashboard: Gathering data from video using strategically-placed cameras in the store, the VisionPoint Dashboard compiles interactive reports for cloud-based, real-time customer insights. An array of retail analytics such as traffic analysis, age and gender analysis, shopping time, and heatmaps allow merchants to capture shopper interest at every touch point. Combined with contextual data such as POS, retailers can gather information on conversion rate and generate business value.

VisionPoint™ Queue Management software: Available in two packages, store managers can improve sales performance and customer satisfaction with 3VR’s powerful Queue Management application. The Predictive Queue Management package for real-time analysis helps retailers monitor customer lines and determine the optimal number of cashiers needed to immediately reduce wait times. The Queue Analysis package for post-analysis shows data such as Average Wait Time, Average Queue Size, and Queue Flow Rate Analysis. Managers can use this information to optimize staffing decisions and improve overall store operations.

VisionPoint™ Digital Signage software: Analyzing in-store camera data in real-time, the VisionPoint Digital Signage software determines viewers’ age and gender to instantly deliver targeted in-store advertisements. Retail marketers can test strategies and find out which ads drive the best results.

A veteran in the security and loss prevention space, 3VR has delivered proven ROI for hundreds of retailers worldwide. "Accurate and reliable people counting has been a consistent requirement from our customers," notes Jim Underwood, VP of Strategic Accounts and Retail Sales. "With the introduction of the 3VR People Counter combined with our existing capabilities, we can now offer a complete solution from traffic analysis, conversion metrics and in-store operational efficiencies."
