BTP-M270 Impact POS printer

BTP-M270 Impact POS printer
BTP-M270 Impact POS printer
Competitive Total Cost of Ownership.
BTP-M270 is a low cost point-of-sale (POS) printer, based on the impact dotmatrix printing technology. The printer is compatible with the market leaders. This printer not only operates in a horizontal position on a table but also operates when positioned vertically; the printer is equipped with a twodirectional low-paper sensor system.
When in the vertical position the paper will exit horizontally at the front of the printer. For mounting the printer on a wall no additional hardware other than two plugs and screws is needed. The printer can be set by means of keystrokes or by means of software utilities. The method of key-strokes gives ease of installation, especially in remote areas and the use of the software utilities gives functionalities that surpass those of the competitors. No special, proprietary ribbon system was developed for this printer; the printer can use ribbons that are available in the market from multiple sources.
The printer can contain paper rolls with a maximum diameter of 10 centimeter, which reduces the frequency of replacing paper rolls.

Reliability by experience.
We are using our experience with proven concepts and parts for all our products. The BTP-M270 is developed according to the same concepts and
methods as our thermal POS and kiosk printers. Many of the parts, but also the software is similar. For instance, like with our thermal printers, the complete impact print mechanism is developed and produced in-house. The printer is also equipped with the same reliable cutter, which is used for many years in our thermal POS printers.

Modularity and flexibility.
BTP-M270 offers a wide variety of interfaces. The range includes amongst others a PoweredUSB and WLAN solution. The same range of interfaces is also used for many years by our thermal POS printer BTP-2002NP. The interfaces have been made in the form of “daughter boards”, which makes replacing and exchanging by resellers and users simple and quick. The modularity and flexibility of the interfaces offer to the reseller a cost saving in the form of less stock-items.
