Höft & Wessel ernennt neuen Managing Director für Tochter Metric

Zentrale Steuerung der UK-Geschäftsaktivitäten von Swindon - Erfolgreicher Manager aus dem Unternehmen

Peter Aylward wurde von der Höft & Wessel-Gruppe zum Managing Director der Tochtergesellschaft Metric mit Sitz im britischen Swindon ernannt. Er verantwortet damit die Geschäftsaktivitäten eines der weltweit führenden Hersteller von Parkautomaten und berichtet direkt an den Vorstand.

Mit Peter Aylward wurde ein erfahrener Manager aus dem Unternehmen an die Spitze berufen. Der 49-jährige IT-Fachmann hat seit Mitte 2009 als General Manager von Almex UK die Geschäftsaktivitäten für Ticketingsysteme in Großbritannien erfolgreich weiterentwickelt. Unter seiner Führung gelang in Großbritannien der Einstieg in den Markt für stationäre Ticketingsysteme und schließlich in den Markt für hochmoderne Ticketing-Komplettlösungen. So stattet Höft & Wessel seit ein paar Monaten die Busflotte der FirstGroup, des größten privaten Busbetreibers Großbritanniens, im Rahmen eines Großauftrags mit einem NFC-fähigen (Near Field Communication) E-Ticketing-System aus.

Aylward wurde in Großbritannien geboren und lebt in der Nähe von Swindon. Er hat in seinen mehr als 30 Berufsjahren umfangreiche Erfahrungen im Management von IT-Unternehmen in Großbritannien und Deutschland gesammelt. Unter anderem war er Managing Director von RedDot, einem führenden Anbieter von Enterprise Content Management Software.

Peter Aylward verantwortet neben der Parking-Sparte auch weiterhin alle Geschäftsaktivitäten für Almex-Ticketingsysteme in Großbritannien. Damit werden die Voraussetzungen für einen weiteren Ausbau des Geschäfts mit Parkautomaten, Ticketingsystemen und mobilen Terminals in einer für Höft & Wessel zentralen Region geschaffen.

Der neue Vorstandsvorsitzende Michael Höft freut sich über die neue Management-

Dies ermöglicht vielfältige Synergieeffekte. Ein Beispiel ist die Nutzung unseres flächendeckenden Service-Netzes in Großbritannien sowohl für Parkautomaten als auch für Ticketingsysteme."
