Enhanced connectivity available with multi-platform web printing solution, Star WebPRNT
International POS printer manufacturer Star Micronics announces today that it provides enhanced connectivity with its platform agnostic WebPRNT solution.
Offering a low cost and versatile solution to cloud/web based printing issues, WebPRNT enables simple platform agnostic receipt printing direct from web based applications using Star’s new WebPRNT Browser for a Star mobile printer or a ‘plug-in’ upgrade option for desktop POS printers.
With the largest choice of HTML and JavaScript Internet printers allowing easy, low cost installation for receipt, label and ticket printing, this low cost hardware or software networking solution effectively removes the issues usually associated with web-based printing to provide driverless printing capabilities for all receipt data and consistent browser printing.
Without the need for a local server or PC, Star WebPRNT technology is a single web-based application that can be accessed by the browser on multiple platforms including Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, Mac OS yielding identical print output. Star WebPRNT supports all standard receipt requirements including logos, barcodes etc and offers a number of receipt design marketing tools alongside a full range of printer functions including cutter control, cash drawer support and device status.
The new Star WebPRNT Browser, available from GooglePlay or the App Store, simplifies direct printing from the web to Star’s range of low cost ticket, label, kitchen and mobile Bluetooth printers as well as supporting all relevant web technologies to provide unique tablet based web printing for retail and hospitality applications. Full screen user interface mode is available for OEM/kiosk use with WebPRNT SDKs, including a demonstration page, available from Star’s global support site.
