sky supermarket, Kiel-Dietrichsdorf - LEDs set the scene in the fresh food area

A marked increase in energy efficiency was the premise in Ansorg’s lighting concept for the new sky supermarket in Kiel-Dietrichsdorf. Particular attention in this case was attached to the high-quality LED lighting in the fruit and vegetable area.

"Everything fresh", is the motto of the sky supermarkets, and the matching lighting makes this claim visible.

Ansorg’s lighting concept supports the bright and friendly interior design and at the same time underscores individual part areas of the market. Besides the optimum lighting quality, with a connected load of 11.5 W/m², minimal power consumption is achieved.

The highlight of the lighting planning is the lighting system in the fruit and vegetable area with LEDs – an area to which considerable importance is attached in the food supermarket. Here the recessed LED luminaire Cardo CRL is used. On the wall shelves, the wide-beam wide-flood reflector ensures large-area, homogeneous illumination of the merchandise, while the fruit and vegetable boxes below the ceiling sail are accentuated, with the help of a narrower-beam medium-flood reflector, in a lively way which is gentle on the products. The Tecno TBL surface-mounted LED spotlight is additionally used in order to emphasise the flower shelves. With this application Ansorg again shows great competence in the use of LED equipment.

For the ambient lighting in the main aisles, Ansorg uses the suspended, wide-beam downlight Pizza. The aisle areas are homogeneously illuminated with the Cordline linear strip lighting system. The Boxx spotlight ensures not only attractive scene setting of the gondola heads, but also sets exciting accents in other areas of the supermarket – whether in the peripheral areas, above the deep-freezers or at the promotion areas. 35W and 50W HIT lamps are used.

The recessed spotlights of the Punta series illuminate the fresh food counters in the supermarket. Mood filters underscore the quality of the food: rosé filter for sausage and meat, gold filter for cheese or sun filter for salads. Additional wall washers of the Lightstripe luminaire system draw attention to the offer and information panels behind the counters. The Punta recessed spotlights are also used for wine, fruit and vegetables as well as at the cash desks: these areas are particularly emphasised by means of coloured ceiling sails. These recessed spotlights are framed by coloured LED rings which contributed their little share to the attractive design of the supermarket and to the special shopping experience.
