The modular K-Class Flex POS and weighing system moves into the second generation

The successor to the first in 2011 introduced system is equipped with the proven components of the KH II scale series and thus performs even better

Bizerba presents the second generation of its modular K-Class Flex. The successor to the first in 2011 introduced system is equipped with the proven components of the KH II scale series and thus performs even better. During development, Bizerba also opted for a slightly textured surface which prevents labels from sticking.

Flexibility is top priority for retailers, because sales have to be carried out smoothly and competently, even with high customer numbers. With the K-Class Flex II, Bizerba supports these businesses in meeting their individual challenges.

Depending on what is required, the modular weighing system can be used as an information terminal, price labeling device, scale or POS solution. The system is equipped with the KH II components, including a dual core processor and a failsafe SSD mass storage device. The K-Class Flex II combines these high performance functions with low energy consumption. For example, the display is illuminated using LEDs. The scales communicate with the connected peripheral devices via interfaces such as a USB 3.0 and have a wake-on-LAN function. This enables to "wake them up" at night for product updates and shut down again once the update has completed. The K-Class Flex II does not need to stay switched on and therefore uses less energy.

The surface of the K-Class Flex II is slightly textured to prevent labels from sticking and to ensure that they are easy to remove from the scales, even in the self-service area. The advantage: The system components are easier to clean.

As with the previous model, the weighing counter pad ScalePad can be mounted very easily onto the surface. This frees up space on the counter and provides greater transparency for the customer who has a clear view of the scales. Sales personnel also no longer need to reach around the scales to access the display. The ScalePad load plate is optionally finished in stainless steel or plastic. The plastic finish allows the staff to cut on the board. Fluids are caught via a drainage channel, which provides for better hygiene.

The Validoline Flex slicing machine can also be integrated, enabling slicing, weighing and selling in a single work step while talking to the customer.
