Foodsystec eG presents the latest trends at the retail counter and the integration of weighing technology

New trends at the retail counter and the integration of technology from METTLER TOLEDO with the PCLin® ERP solution are just some of the highlights being displayed at the Foodsystec eG stand at IFFA 2010 (8 – 13 May, Messe Frankfurt – Hall 6.1, Stand C41).

‘Achieving more by working together’ – Foodsystec eG is clearly demonstrating its commitment to this approach as it places its cooperation with partner METTLER TOLEDO at the heart of its IFFA presentation, displaying the latest trends at the retail counter as well as the integration of weighing technology with its PCLin® ERP solution. Members and other visitors to the Foodsystec stand can learn first-hand about the latest METTLER TOLEDO offering for specialist butchers as well as about the cooperative’s activities. IFFA 2010, the leading international trade fair for the meat sector, is the first occasion that Foodsystec will be presenting itself to its members in its new cooperative form.

Seamless integration in resource management and planning
With its PCLin®, Foodsystec eG has developed a modu-lar ERP software solution specifically designed for spe-cialist butchers. On the Foodsystec stand, METTLER TOLEDO is demonstrating how butchers can seamlessly connect their METTLER TOLEDO weighing technology to the PCLin® in order to optimise their sales and other business processes. “We will be showing how specialist butchers can drastically reduce the time they spend on maintaining master data and how simple it is to integrate their scales into their sales systems and other business processes,” explains Michael Faber, Vice Chairman of Foodsystec eG.

Retail scales bC-U2 with dual printer
Also on display at the Foodsystec eG stand: the METTLER TOLEDO bC-U2 tactile retail scales with dual printer. This model enables staff to switch between sales and labelling mode at the simple touch of a button. Thanks to the dual printer, it is not necessary to change the paper roll from receipt to label paper. Hence, during breaks or slower times of the day, the bC-U2 can be put to effective use for price labelling or pre-packing meat products for the self-service counter or secondary dis-plays. Clever use of the bC-U2 can often even eliminate the need to purchase an additional compact scales unit.
