Computer vision in retail: a versatile technology

Two big goals retailers have today are a) to provide a convenient checkout experience and b) to minimize loss and theft. Advanced computer vision technologies are designed to help achieve both goals.

At NRF 2022, we spoke with three experts from machine vision supplier companies about the use of this technology in retail: Alex Siskos, vice president of strategy at Everseen; Toby Awalt, vice president of marketing at Mashgin; and Paul Dennis, store operations expert at SAI answered questions like:
