“Solutions for the Connected World” is Verifone's motto at this year's EuroShop in Düsseldorf. The world’s leading provider of electronic payment systems will present the solutions for digital change in the payment industry supporting retailers from 5 January to 9 March in Hall 6, Booth D24.

The Verifone Engage product family, which was introduced for the first time last year, will be expanded to include the V400m mobile terminal and the M400 retail multimedia terminal. An app store can be integrated into the 400-series terminals of the Engage family apps, for example, for couponing or loyalty programs. The Engage terminals not only process payments but also extend the payment process by adding value for the customer. The Verifone Software Development Kit (SDK) enables network operators, acquirers, retailers, cash integrators or IT service providers to programme their own applications and make them available for use on the terminals. This is made possible by the open architecture of the Linux-based operating system. The Engage product family also includes the V200c stand-alone terminal, which has been in operation on the German market since the end of 2016. Further Engage terminals including the mobile V400m and the retail multimedia terminal M400 will follow in 2017.

With Verifone Carbon, EuroShop is also presenting a new POS and terminal solution that combines stationary and mobile POS systems as well as the payment terminal in a completely new way. The elegantly designed device can be used as a countertop counter as well as an mPOS solution and comes equipped with two high-resolution displays. One of the displays is used as a terminal with a touch-screen PIN pad for processing of payment transactions. With Verifone Carbon, merchants can use their merchandise management systems, make personalized offers for customers, and flexibly accept card payments anywhere in the shop.

The mPOS terminals of the e series are also characterized by high mobility. The card readers connect with smartphones or tablets to mobile cash desks, using either the Android or the iOS operating system. This brings consulting and sales close to the customer and puts the personal consultation in focus.

In the self-checkout area, Verifone shows at EuroShop how customers can use self-scanning of and payment for goods in self-serviceable POS infrastructure. The stationary terminals H5000 and MX 925 are already used in Germany as self-checkout solutions. On the touch screens, transactions can be carried out quickly, simply and self-sufficiently, while colour icons lead customers through the payment process. Both terminals are prepared for electronic signature capture and have integrated NFC readers for contactless payment. In addition, advertising content or customer information can be displayed on the screens. At the EuroShop, Verifone will demonstrate integration in a real self-checkout system.

The comprehensive functional package of the hybrid terminal H5000 has recently been supplemented by girocard contactless and Alipay payments. This gives traders the opportunity to accept NFC payments using the girocard or payments using the QR-based Alipay procedure. In addition, the H5000 provides the highest security standard for payment transactions through its P2PE certification: the H5000 enables retailers to achieve significantly simplified PCI DSS compliance through a P2PE solution.

You will find Verifone from 5 to 9 March at the EuroShop in Hall 6 / Booth D24 of the Messe Düsseldorf.
