Posiflex Technology is officially launching a new Android version of its tablet-based mobile POS solution.

The MT-4008A is designed to meet the requirements of small and medium sized retailers that wish to offer their customers a more personalised, interactive shopping experience with mobile POS functionalities. This new addition to the extensive Posiflex range will be available in Q3, 2015.

Featuring 1280X800 wide screen resolution, the tablet MT-4008A runs on the Android 4.4 operating platform. Supporting MSR attachment, it can be complemented by an ergonomic pistol grip with built-in 1D or 2D barcode scanner or a practical hand strap depending on the application. The MT-4008A can also be mounted to a dock station with built-in 3” thermal printer and various I/O connectivity.

Like its award-winning Windows-based sister product (MT-4008W), the MT-4008A shares versatile functionality, a robust yet lightweight design for comfortable use, quick transformation into an all-in-one POS with the optional dock station, and extended operating time resulting from advanced power saving technology plus a removable battery within the pistol grip to sustain extra intensive usage.

Thanks to its mobility, the MT-4008A can be brought to the shop floor allowing sales staff to instantly connect with customers for effective selling and enabling a more personalised customer service through all stages of the shopping journey. During busy periods the MT-4008A can help to reduce queuing time and accelerate the checkout process. The small footprint of the MT-4008A means it is ideal for smaller retailers where space is at a premium. When the tablet is set at the dock station, it is a top-quality, fully fledged POS terminal with the ability to deal with high-volume transactions.

Owen Chen, President and CEO of Posiflex Technology, Inc. comments, “Posiflex is focused on developing innovative solutions that enable retailers to provide customers with the shopping experience they expect in today’s mobile world. Small and medium sized retailers are looking for mobile and hybrid solutions on the Android platform that are flexible enough to deliver maximum functionality – we believe that the MT-4008A is the perfect solution to these requirements.”
